What stays local—and what does not.

FormatCalc’s converters and calculators process the text, values, and files you supply in your browser. That source material is not uploaded to or stored by FormatCalc for the conversion.

Information processed on your device

Tool inputs, selected files, generated previews, and conversion results are handled by code running in your browser. Downloadable results are assembled locally. FormatCalc does not provide user accounts or save a history of your conversions.

Browser preferences

The site may store a small theme preference in local browser storage so your light or dark appearance choice persists. You can remove it by clearing site data in your browser. This preference does not contain tool inputs.

Hosting and security logs

Like most websites, the hosting and delivery provider may process technical request information such as IP address, requested page, timestamp, browser or device details, and security signals. This information is used to deliver pages, prevent abuse, and maintain reliability. It is separate from the values processed inside a tool.

Page styling currently requests font files from Google Fonts. That request can disclose technical connection information, such as your IP address and browser details, to Google. It does not include the values entered in a FormatCalc tool.

Advertising and cookies

FormatCalc uses Google AdSense. Pages include Google advertising tags, which can cause the browser to contact Google even when an ad is not visible. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers to deliver, limit, personalize, and measure advertising, subject to the consent choices and controls available in your region.

You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services in Google’s partner-sites notice and manage advertising personalization through Google Ads Settings. Where required, a consent message provides choices before advertising storage or personalized advertising is used.

Children

FormatCalc is a general-audience utility site and is not directed to children under 13. Do not enter personal information about a child into a tool.

Changes and questions

This policy may be updated when the site’s tools, hosting, or advertising practices change. Material revisions will update the review date below. For a privacy question, use the process on the contact page and do not include sensitive information in a public report.
